DEMING – The Deming Police Department, working in coordination with the Luna County Detention Center, has released its latest arrest and incident activity report detailing several recent cases involving domestic violence charges, probation violations, and a burglary investigation tied to damage at two local businesses. Authorities say officers continue routine patrol and response operations across the community, with recent enforcement actions focusing on outstanding warrants and property crimes. All persons mentioned in this report are to be considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
According to police records dated April 22, officers made several arrests involving household violence and court compliance issues.
Roman Carrazco, 24, was arrested on a charge of battery against a household member.
Alfred Ventura, 63, was arrested on a Luna County District Court warrant for failure to comply with probation.
Leticia Quinones, 44, was arrested on a charge of battery against a household member.
Christopher Slocum, 58, was arrested on a Luna County District Court warrant for failure to comply with probation.
In an earlier report dated April 20, police also arrested two individuals connected to separate incidents involving court violations and a commercial burglary investigation.
Daniel Perez, 44, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to appear, with a $100 cash bond listed.
Jeremiah Perez, 27, was arrested on charges including burglary, tampering with evidence, criminal damage to property, and larceny related to incidents at businesses on North Gold Street and West Pine Street.
Police reports indicate the burglaries resulted in thousands of dollars in damage to building windows, doors, and equipment, although authorities confirmed that stolen property in one case was later recovered. Officers say investigations remain ongoing, and additional charges could be filed pending further review.
