DEMING — Luna County DWI Planning Council is scheduled to hold its regular monthly meeting at noon on Wednesday, April 15, at La Fonda Restaurant in Las Cruces, with options available for both in-person and virtual participation.
According to the published agenda, council members will begin the meeting with routine business items, including approval of the agenda and review of minutes from the February 2026 meeting. The council will then receive program updates focused on screening, treatment, compliance, prevention, and Teen Court initiatives serving the community.
Reports are expected from staff members overseeing key program areas, including updates on compliance and treatment services as well as prevention efforts targeting youth and underage drinking. Officials say these regular updates help guide planning and coordination of DWI prevention and intervention programs across Doña Ana County.
The meeting will also include time for announcements and public comments before council members set the date for their next regular meeting, currently scheduled for May 20, 2026.
The DWI Planning Council plays a central role in coordinating local strategies to reduce impaired driving, improve treatment services, and support prevention programs throughout the county.
