DEMING – The Governing Council of Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School will meet Tuesday, March 3 at 6 p.m. in Room 14 on campus, with a Zoom option also available to the public.
According to the posted agenda Board Agenda 2026 03 03, council members are scheduled to consider several action items, including approval of the 2026–2027 school calendar and acceptance of the fiscal year 2025 financial audit report release.
The council is also expected to vote on an out-of-state travel request for seniors to attend a Chihuahuas baseball game in El Paso on April 8. A budget adjustment request tied to the SEG final adjustment will also be reviewed for approval.
In addition to those action items, members will receive a Community School Food Distribution Report and hear updates from various committees, including Audit, Finance, School Planning and Academic, Equity Council and Council Development.
The meeting will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance, roll call and approval of minutes from the February 10 meeting before moving into public comment, which is limited to 15 minutes total.
The next regularly scheduled Governing Council meeting is set for April 14 at 6 p.m.
