DEMING – The Great American Duck Race Committee is inviting community members to help shape next year’s festivities by submitting theme ideas for the 2026 Great American Duck Race.
Organizers say the goal is to find a creative theme that can be carried across every part of the multi-weekend celebration. That includes live duck racing on both wet and dry tracks, the Bravo Mic Duck Royalty Pageant, the Tournament of Ducks Parade, carnival activities, food and vendor areas, the skate park, and the popular tortilla toss.
Community members whose theme ideas are selected will receive a $100 prize. The winning submitter will be notified after an official logo has been designed and prepared for the public announcement of the 2026 theme.
Submissions must be completed by 5 p.m. on February 24, 2026. Additional details and the submission form are available online at demingduckrace.com.
The Great American Duck Race is one of Deming’s signature community events, drawing families, local organizations, and visitors together for weeks of activities centered around fundraising, entertainment, and hometown tradition.
