DEMING — Do you know what the Luna County DWI Prevention Department actually does in the community? Residents are invited to find out by attending the next Luna County DWI Planning Council meeting, which is open to the public and designed to share updates on local prevention, screening, and youth-focused programs.
During the meeting, council members and staff will provide general program updates, including reports on screening, treatment, and compliance efforts, as well as prevention and Teen Court activities. There will also be time set aside for public comments and announcements, giving community members a chance to ask questions and share input.
The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, allowing people to attend in person at La Fonda Restaurant or join remotely through Microsoft Teams. The next regular monthly meeting date will also be announced as part of the session.
