DEMING – The Deming Police Department, in partnership with Deming Public Schools, is inviting the community to take part in the annual Cram the Cruiser jacket drive. The event is focused on collecting new or gently used jackets to help local youth stay warm during the colder months.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division and representatives from Deming Public Schools will be at Walmart on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The collection point will be located in the Walmart parking lot, and organizers encourage residents to look for the police lights and event banner.
Only jacket donations are being accepted. Cash donations will not be taken during the event.
Community members are encouraged to stop by and support local students by helping to fill a police cruiser with warm jackets for children and teenagers in need.
