DEMING – Residents across Deming and Luna County have an opportunity to dispose of large household items at no charge as part of the ongoing Que Linda Dumpster Initiative organized by county officials to support neighborhood clean-up efforts.
The program is designed specifically to help residents get rid of bulky trash objects such as mattresses, appliances, furniture, and other large materials that are often difficult to dispose of through regular trash service. County leaders say the initiative is intended to improve neighborhood appearance, reduce illegal dumping, and make it easier for families to clean up their properties safely and responsibly.
Dumpsters will be available beginning Wednesday, April 8, through Thursday, April 9, on a dirt access road immediately east of 1625 Ash Street Southwest. Additional dumpsters will be available for public use from Friday, April 10, through Sunday, April 12, at the intersections of Chato Drive Northwest and Keeler Road Northwest, as well as Twilight Trail Northwest and North Lane.
Officials emphasize that the service is provided at no cost to residents and is intended to support neighborhoods throughout the county. Residents who have large clean-up needs are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity while dumpsters are available in their area.
County officials also remind residents that they can request a dumpster placement in their own neighborhood if there is a need for large-item disposal. To schedule a large dumpster in your area or to ask questions about the program, residents can contact the Luna County Planning Department at (575) 543-6620.
Residents are asked to be respectful of surrounding properties and other community members when using the dumpsters so the program can continue to benefit neighborhoods across Deming and Luna County.
