DEMING – Deming Public Schools is reminding families that registration for returning students is now underway, marking the start of preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year and urging parents and guardians to complete the required process before the end of April.
District officials announced that online registration for all current kindergarten through 11th grade students opened April 1 and will remain available through April 30. School administrators emphasize that every student must be registered each year, even if they attended classes during the current school term.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to act promptly, as students who are not registered by the deadline may be assumed not to be returning for the upcoming school year. In those cases, the district could remove the student from enrollment records until registration is completed.
The district has made the process accessible through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, which can be accessed from a computer or mobile device. Families can also download the Campus Parent app, allowing them to register multiple children at once, even if those students attend different schools across the district.
School leaders say assistance is available for families who may have difficulty creating or accessing their parent portal accounts, and they encourage parents to contact their child’s school directly if questions arise during the registration process.
Officials also noted that information about open enrollment opportunities—such as transferring to another campus or enrolling in a virtual program—will be shared at a later date. Those options remain subject to available space and district policy requirements.
District administrators say timely registration helps ensure proper staffing, transportation planning, and classroom preparation, all of which support a smooth start to the new school year for students and families across the community.
