DEMING – Officers with the Deming Police Department responded to a variety of calls and enforcement actions across the city, resulting in several arrests involving warrants, domestic-related incidents, and allegations of resisting law enforcement, according to information released Monday.
Authorities report that Dominick Ernesto Dominguez, age 39, of Deming, was arrested on a Sixth Judicial District Court warrant for failure to comply with probation. Claudia Flynn, age 51, of Deming, was arrested on a charge of battery upon a household member. Marcos Arias, age 36, of Deming, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant alleging criminal sexual penetration in the first degree involving a child under the age of 13.
Police also arrested Rhona Perris, age 56, of Deming, on charges including battery upon a peace officer, resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer, and disorderly conduct. Jay Hughey, age 50, of Deming, was taken into custody on charges of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer and on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release.
The arrests were reported by the Deming Police Department, with individuals booked into the Luna County Detention Center pending court proceedings.
All persons mentioned in this report are to be considered innocent until possibly proven guilty by a court of law.
