Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School board to meet Feb. 10

DEMING — The Governing Council of Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School will hold its regular board meeting Tuesday, February 10, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Room 14 on the school’s campus at 315 E. First Street.

According to the published agenda, council members are expected to review and take action on several key items, including the adoption of the meeting agenda and approval of minutes from the January 13 meeting. The meeting will also include a limited public comment period, allowing community members to address the board within a total time limit of 15 minutes.

During the meeting, staff and students will be recognized in a spotlight segment, followed by reports from standing committees, including audit, finance, school planning and academics, the equity council, and council development. Discussion items include a report on the community school food distribution program, parent input on the proposed 2026–27 budget, and a first review of the 2026–27 school calendar.

One of the action items scheduled for consideration is the acceptance and release of the fiscal year 2025 financial audit report. The council will also review upcoming professional development conferences for governing council members at the state and national levels.

The meeting will conclude with a report from the director and dean of students, providing council members an opportunity to ask questions or offer comments on the school’s operations and progress. The next regular governing council meeting is scheduled for March 3, 2026.
