DEMING — The Southwest Border Archers will kick off their 2026 season with a Membership Drive and Fun Shoot on Sunday, February 8th, inviting archers, families, and newcomers to gather for a morning of registration and friendly competition.
Registration will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the group’s range located at 3500 Highway 26 in Deming. Organizers say the event is designed to welcome new members, reconnect with returning participants, and introduce the community to the club’s schedule for the year ahead.
Membership fees for the season are set at $30 for individuals and $50 for families. For those who want to participate without joining, a fun shooter option will be available for $20 for individuals and $30 for families.
The February event will open a full calendar of monthly shoots throughout the year. The schedule includes a Fun Shoot and ASA Bi-State Qualifier on March 1st, followed by monthly shoots on April 12th, May 3rd, June 14th, August 2nd, October 4th, and November 1st. A Night Shoot and Fun Shoot is planned for July 18th, with the final monthly shoot of the year set for December 6th.
Organizers note that all dates are subject to change, and beginning in 2027, regular shoots will be held on the first Sunday of each month.
