DEMING – Play Sharity, which assumed leadership of the Shop with a Cop program earlier this year, has announced that the annual shopping event will take place this Saturday, December 6. Santa is scheduled to arrive by air at 8 a.m., and all local law enforcement agencies are invited to take part in helping 400 students shop for holiday gifts.
Maria Camunez, Business Manager of Play Sharity, said the organization took over the program in July and has been working to maintain all traditional fundraising efforts. These include the Ultimate Giveaway Raffle, with daily winners announced throughout December, as well as the September golf tournament and the Richard Cowles Memorial Bowling Tournament held in November.
