Students from the Early College High School Volunteer at DAGSHIP Rescue

DEMING – Students from the Early College High School recently spent time at DAGSHIP Rescue, where they learned about animal welfare and participated in hands-on volunteer work. During their visit, the students helped clean kennels and the cattery, and provided important enrichment to the animals by walking dogs and spending time with cats and kittens.

DAGSHIP Rescue is also sharing an important request from Animal Protection of New Mexico. The organization is asking residents to visit the following link to voice support for the extension of a key state law benefiting animal welfare programs:

DAGSHIP was among the fortunate recipients of nearly $50,000 this year, allowing the organization to fully fund 365 spay and neuter surgeries for low-income pet owners across Luna County.
