DEMING – Friends of the Floridas, a local grassroots organization, has invited the community to attend its Annual Meeting on Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Mimbres Valley Special Events Center at 2300 E. Pine Street.
The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive about 30 minutes early to help set up chairs and visit with neighbors. Organizers say the session will include updates on the group’s efforts over the past year to protect the Florida Mountains from blasting, dust and increased traffic impacts.
Free hats and bumper stickers will be available while supplies last. The public is welcome and encouraged to bring friends and neighbors.
