DEMING – The City of Deming will lower flags to half-staff this Friday and Saturday in honor of Mr. Noel Nuñez, a longtime educator, principal, community announcer, and mentor whose influence touched generations of local families.
Nuñez was widely known for his dedication to students, his love of local sports and the arts, and his consistent presence in community life. His leadership and encouragement left a lasting mark on classrooms, athletic fields, and public events across Deming.
By order of the mayor, the United States and New Mexico flags at all City of Deming facilities will be flown at half-staff from Friday, November 7th through Saturday, November 8th, as a tribute to his service and legacy.
The City encourages residents to take a moment to reflect on the impact Mr. Nuñez made and the many lives he helped shape in Deming.
