Early Voting Totals Released Ahead of Tuesday’s Election in Luna County

DEMING – Early voting has wrapped up in Luna County, and final turnout numbers are in as residents prepare to head to the polls on Tuesday. A total of 1,442 voters cast ballots ahead of Election Day. That includes 680 Democrats, 589 Republicans, and 173 voters registered as independents or with smaller parties. Most of those ballots were cast in person, with a smaller portion coming in by absentee.

Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4th, and polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Voters in Luna County may cast their ballot at any one of the three Convenience Voting Centers: Holy Family Catholic Church Parish Hall in Deming, the Mimbres Valley Learning Center on the WNMU campus, or the Columbus Village Library in Columbus.

Residents are encouraged to make a plan to vote, consider their preferred time of day, and bring any required identification associated with their voter registration. Turnout traditionally increases on Election Day, so a bit of patience during peak times may be helpful.
