Stuff the Bus 2025 Set for Saturday at Peppers

DEMING – The second annual Stuff the Bus: Community Give-Back Celebration is rolling into the Pepper’s Supermarket parking lot on Saturday, July 19, from 10 AM to 2 PM—bringing excitement, generosity, and plenty of family fun for a great cause.

Local stylists and barbers will be offering free haircuts for kids just in time for the new school year. Attendees can enjoy free servings of Blue Bell ice cream, cool off with a snow cone, and even receive a free backpack while supplies last. Deming Public Schools’ music bands will be performing, and the Deming Police Explorers will be present alongside patrol cars for kids and families to explore.

This year’s event invites the public to help Stuff the Wildcat Bus by donating new school supplies. Any and all items—big or small—will be accepted and appreciated as they benefit the children and teachers of Deming Public Schools.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Mayor Michele “Micki” Shillito, who will be on hand to show her support for this community initiative (kdemfm.comcityofdeming.org).

Members of the Bravo Mic Communications radio stations, including KDEM and KOTS, will be on site to greet families, share smiles, and thank the community for supporting local students. The team is looking forward to connecting in person and celebrating the spirit of giving with everyone who stops by.

Stuff the Bus 2025 is proudly sponsored by Nusenda Credit Union and supported by numerous community partners including Luna County and the City of Deming, committed to helping Deming students start the school year strong.
